The Pinckney Pirates got by the visiting Richard Pioneers softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Pirates meet the Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish (Ann Arbor, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 11. Pinckney will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 9-4 non-league loss to Notre Dame Prep (Pontiac, MI).
The Pioneers (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against University Liggett (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI). The Knights go into the Catholic AA challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, University Liggett held off Regina (Warren, MI), 11-0, in a non-league challenge.
