The Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) baseball the visiting Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), 7-3 in Tuesday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars encounter the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest, on Thursday, April 14. Alexander Central will attempt to better on its 15-1 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 10-5 record after their 15-4 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
