The Lincoln Cougars softball team scored 19 runs and limited the visiting Preston Knights to 0 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Lincoln moves its record to 11-0 on the year. The Cougars travel to Lewis County (Weston, WV) to clash with the Minutemen in a Big Ten game on Wednesday, April 13. The Minutemen come into the game with a record of 5-3. Lewis County won 15-1 in their recent league game against North Marion (Farmington, WV)
In their next game, the Knights clash with the Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV) in a Big Ten game, on Wednesday, April 13. Preston will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Bearcats come into the game with a 5-9 record after their 8-1 league loss to Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV).
