The Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) softball routed the visiting Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX), 16-5 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Pirates (5-6) will now prepare for their bout against Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region I District 4 bout with a 15-6 record. In their last bout, Wylie notched a victory over Coronado (Lubbock, TX), 2-1, in a league bout.
The Westerners now possess a 1-16 record. They play next when they host Wylie for a 5A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, April 19. Lubbock will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-3 league win over Cooper (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-6.
