Washington High School Softball - Mt. Baker bounces Mount Vernon

Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA), 11-1 in a league challenge.
The Mountaineers now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anacortes for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Thursday, April 14. Mt. Baker will face a Seahawks squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Mount Vernon falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA) to face the Tigers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Burlington-Edison won 13-6 in their recent league challenge against Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA)
