Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Southern Durham Spartans (Durham, NC), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Vipers now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Durham School of the Arts for a Northern Lakes Athletic 2A/3A challenge on Thursday, April 14. Vance County will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 15-12 league win over Carrboro (Carrboro, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Southern Durham falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Spartans host Carrboro (Carrboro, NC) to battle the Jaguars in a Northern Lakes Athletic 2A/3A challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Carrboro lost 15-12 in their recent league challenge against Durham School of the Arts (Durham, NC)
