North Carolina High School Baseball - Covenant Day gets by East Mecklenburg

The Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) baseball the host East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC), 5-2 in Wednesday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions encounter the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers (Charlotte, NC) in a NCISAA Charlotte contest, on Saturday, April 15. Covenant Day will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record. The Buccaneers come into the contest with a 6-7 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC).

The Eagles now sport a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Charlotte Catholic for a Southwestern 4A contest on Tuesday, April 18. East Mecklenburg will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Christ the King (Huntersville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 11-5.
