In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Carolina Royals baseball team scored a tight 6-1 victory over the Mallard Creek Mavericks.
The (6-9) will now prepare for their game against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Stallions go into the non-league game with a 5-7 record. In their last game, Queen's Grant was overwhelmed by Carolina Royals (Charlotte, NC), 10-0, in a non-league game.
The Mavericks (5-12) will now prepare for their game against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks go into the Queen City 3A/4A game with a 4-10 record. In their last game, West Mecklenburg was overwhelmed by Hopewell (Huntersville, NC), 16-2, in a league game.
