In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Union County Yellowjackets baseball team scored a tight 8-7 victory over the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights.
The Yellowjackets (13-5) will now prepare for their game against Emerald (Greenwood, SC). The Vikings go into the 3A Region 4 game with a 9-7 record. In their last game, Emerald was edged by Fox Creek (North Augusta, SC), 4-1, in a non-league game.
The Knights (6-6) will now prepare for their game against J.L. Mann (Greenville, SC). The Patriots go into the non-league game with a 1-7 record. In their last game, J.L. Mann was edged by Hillcrest (Simpsonville, SC), 14-4, in a league game.
