Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA), 9-4 in a league test.
With the win, Marple Newtown upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Fightin' Tigers travel to Strath Haven (Wallingford, PA) to battle the Panthers in a test on Thursday, April 13. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 0-0.
With the defeat, Springfield falls to 0-1 on the season.
