The East Providence Townies softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Barrington Eagles to 4 in the Townies non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, East Providence improves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Townies host Smithfield (Esmond, RI) to clash with the Sentinels in a Division 1B (State) game on Tuesday, April 18. The Sentinels come into the game with a record of 1-3. Smithfield lost 2-0 in their recent league game against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI) in a Division 2 game, on Monday, April 17. Barrington will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Lions come into the game with a 2-2 record after their 7-5 league win over Toll Gate (Warwick, RI).
