Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY), 20-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Colonels now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Corbin for a District 50 challenge on Friday, April 14. Whitley County will battle a Redhounds squad coming off a 6-4 league win over South Laurel (London, KY). The Redhounds record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Bell County falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Harlan County (Harlan, KY) to battle the Black Bears in a District 52 challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Black Bears enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Harlan County lost 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against South Laurel (London, KY)
