The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Covington Buccs (Covington, OH) and the host Greenville Green Wave (Greenville, OH), saw Covington's softball squad nip Greenville by a count of 7-6.

The Buccs now sport a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Miami East for a Three Rivers match on Thursday, April 13. Covington will face a Vikings squad coming off a 11-4 league win over Bethel (Tipp City, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Greenville falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Green wave host Tippecanoe (Tipp City, OH) to face the Red Devils in a Miami Valley League - Miami match on Friday, April 14. The Red Devils enter the match with a record of 11-2. Tippecanoe lost 11-7 in their recent non-league match against Fairmont (Kettering, OH)
