Illinois High School Softball - St. Charles East holds off Downers Grove South

The St. Charles East Fighting Saints the host Downers Grove South Mustangs softball squad by a final score of 8-6 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Fighting Saints (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Lake Park (Roselle, IL). The Lancers go into the DuKane battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, Lake Park held off Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL), 10-8, in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Naperville Central for a non-league battle on Friday, April 14. Downers Grove South will meet a Redhawks squad coming off a 14-12 league loss to Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL). The Redhawks record now stands at 5-6.
