Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Illinois Lutheran Chargers (Crete, IL), 20-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Salt Fork for a Vermilion Valley challenge on Friday, April 14. Watseka will battle a Storm squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Fisher (Fisher, IL). The Storm record now stands at 11-3.

With the loss, Illinois Lutheran falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Chargers host Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL) to battle the Crusaders in a River Valley challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Grace Christian Academy lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL)
