St. Charles North North Stars (St. Charles, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The North Stars now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Wheaton-Warrenville South for a DuKane challenge on Friday, April 14. St. Charles North will face a Tigers squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Hinsdale South (Darien, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Lincoln-Way East falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Andrew (Tinley Park, IL) to face the Thunderbolts in a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Thunderbolts enter the challenge with a record of 13-1. Andrew won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL)
