North Daviess Cougars (Elnora, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN), 7-5 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host South Knox for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13.

With the loss, North Central falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Clay City (Clay City, IN) to battle the Eels in a Southwestern Indiana challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Eels enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Clay City won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Shakamak (Jasonville, IN)
