California High School Baseball - South gets by Loyola

Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the South Spartans (Torrance, CA) and the host Loyola Cubs (Los Angeles, CA), saw South's baseball squad knock off Loyola by a count of 3-1.

Coming up next, the Spartans play the El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA) in a Pioneer battle, on Wednesday, April 17. South will attempt to move on its 14-9 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 16-6 record after their 8-1 non-league win over Poly (Sun Valley, CA).

The Cubs now possess a 10-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harvard-Westlake for a Mission battle on Tuesday, April 16. Loyola will play a Wolverines squad coming off a 12-9 non-league win over Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 18-5.
