Elizabethtown Panthers (Elizabethtown, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Assumption Rockets (Louisville, KY), 7-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 15-1 record. They take the field next when they host Greenwood for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Elizabethtown will battle a Gators squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Warren East (Bowling Green, KY). The Gators record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Assumption falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Rockets host Corbin (Corbin, KY) to battle the Redhounds in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. The Redhounds enter the challenge with a record of 4-6. Corbin lost 2-0 in their recent league challenge against South Laurel (London, KY)
