The Mascoutah Indians softball team scored 19 runs and limited the visiting Belleville West Maroons to 10 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Mascoutah moves its record to 4-9 on the year. The Indians travel to Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a Mississippi Valley game on Monday, April 15. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 5-9. Civic Memorial lost 17-1 in their recent league test against Triad (Troy, IL)

The Maroons (5-11) will now prepare for their test against Belleville East (Belleville, IL). The Lancers enter the Southwestern test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Belleville East was routed by Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL), 3-1, in a non-league test.
