The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Miami Vandals (Miami, AZ) and the host Fort Thomas Apaches (Fort Thomas, AZ), saw Miami's softball squad achieve victory over Fort Thomas by a count of 24-4.

The Vandals now sport a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crismon for a non-league match on Monday, April 15. Miami will face a Rattlers squad coming off a 20-10 non-league win over Kofa (Yuma, AZ). The Rattlers record now stands at 15-4.

With the loss, Fort Thomas falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Apaches host Hayden (Winkelman, AZ) to face the Lobos in a 1A East match on Tuesday, April 16. The Lobos enter the match with a record of 9-10. Hayden lost 20-2 in their recent league match against Joseph City (Joseph City, AZ)
