The Gooding Senators softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Minico Spartans to 8 in the Senators non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Gooding moves its record to 7-6 on the year. The Senators host Filer (Filer, ID) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Sawtooth Central Idaho game on Thursday, April 18. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 2-9.

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Mountain Home Tigers (Mountain Home, ID) in a 4A Great Basin - West game, on Tuesday, April 16. Minico will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 2-11 record after their 21-9 non-league win over Columbia (Nampa, ID).
