Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Admirals now own a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harrison Central for a 7A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Gulfport will battle a Red Rebels squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS). The Red Rebels record now stands at 11-8.

With the loss, North Pike falls to 10-12 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Ocean Springs (Ocean Springs, MS) to battle the Greyhounds in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a record of 15-7. Ocean Springs won 13-3 in their recent league challenge against Gulfport (Gulfport, MS)
