Hatton Hornets (Town Creek, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pell City Panthers (Pell City, AL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 9-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to McAdory for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Hatton will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Lawrence County (Moulton, AL). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 18-8.

With the loss, Pell City falls to 21-12 on the campaign. The Panthers host Mortimer Jordan (Kimberly, AL) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 12-13. Mortimer Jordan lost 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Madison County (Gurley, AL)
