Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the St. John Eagles (Plaquemine, LA) and the visiting Northwood Gators (Lena, LA), witnessed St. John's softball squad prevail over Northwood by a count of 17-0.
The Eagles now sport a 17-8 record. They play next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 17. St. John will face a Trojans squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over St. Joseph's - Plaucheville (Plaucheville, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 18-11.
With the loss, Northwood moves to 12-12 on the season.
