The White River Hornets routed the host Spanaway Lake Sentinels softball squad by a final score of 10-5 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Hornets (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Clover Park (Lakewood, WA). The Timberwolves go into the 2A South Puget Sound battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Clover Park was routed by Orting (Orting, WA), 19-0, in a league bout.
The Sentinels now possess a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Bonney Lake for a 3A Pierce County bout on Tuesday, April 16. Spanaway Lake will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 31-7 league win over Lakes (Lakewood, WA). The Panthers record now stands at 11-0.
