St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 15-14 record.

With the loss, Springfield falls to 9-16 on the campaign.
