The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Tates Creek Commodores (Lexington, KY) and the visiting Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY), saw Tates Creek's baseball team gain a win over Blazer by a tally of 6-1.

The Commodores (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY). The Bulldogs enter the District 43 battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Paul Laurence Dunbar held off St. Francis (Hamburg, NY), 5-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Tomcats face the Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY) in a District 64 battle, on Tuesday, April 15. Blazer will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 5-7 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Raceland (Raceland, KY).
