The Hixson Wildcats baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots to 1 in the Wildcats non-league win on Saturday.

The Wildcats now hold a 18-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chattanooga Central for a 3A District 6 test on Monday, April 14. Hixson will play a Pounders team coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts (Chattanooga, TN). The Pounders record now stands at 4-13.

With the defeat, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences moves to 8-11 on the season. The Patriots host Bledsoe County (Pikeville, TN) to confront the Warriors in a match on Monday, April 14. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 12-8. Bledsoe County won 11-0 in their recent non-league match against Sunbright (Sunbright, TN)
