The St. Xavier Bombers baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Fairmont Firebirds to 2 in the Bombers non-league win on Saturday.

The Bombers now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Talawanda for a non-league test on Monday, April 14. St. Xavier will play a Brave team coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Monroe (Monroe, OH). The Brave record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Fairmont drops to 1-1 on the year. The Firebirds host Springboro (Springboro, OH) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Monday, April 14. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 4-1. Springboro won 11-5 in their recent non-league test against Butler (Vandalia, OH)
