The Triad Knights softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Carlinville Cavaliers to 3 in the Knights non-league win on Saturday.

The Knights now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waterloo for a Mississippi Valley battle on Monday, April 14. Triad will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Belleville West (Belleville, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Carlinville moves to 5-3 on the season. The Cavaliers host Litchfield (Litchfield, IL) to confront the Purple Panthers in a South Central battle on Tuesday, April 15. The Purple Panthers come into the battle with a record of 6-5. Litchfield lost 10-0 in their recent non-league battle against Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL)
