El Paso-Gridley Titans (El Paso, IL) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), 11-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, El Paso-Gridley improves its record to 2-8 on the year. The Titans travel to Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL) to face the Falcons in a Heart of Illinois game on Monday, April 14. The Falcons enter the game with a record of 7-5. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley lost 9-6 in their recent non-league game against Iroquois West (Gilman, IL)

The Maroons (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Warrensburg-Latham (Warrensburg, IL). The Cardinals enter the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Warrensburg-Latham edged Taylorville (Taylorville, IL), 5-3, in a non-league challenge.
