In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Dickson County Cougars softball team scored a tight 7-2 win over the Forrest Rockets.
The Cougars (17-8) will now prepare for their match against Kenwood (Clarksville, TN). The Knights come into the 4A District 13 match with a 0-13 record. In their last match, Kenwood was routed by Todd County Central (Elkton, KY), 18-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Rockets confront the Riverdale Warriors (Murfreesboro, TN) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 14. Forrest will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 8-10 record after their 14-4 non-league win over Shelbyville Central (Shelbyville, TN).
