The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Edgar Wildcats (Edgar, WI) and the host Rhinelander Hodags (Rhinelander, WI), observed Edgar's softball team get by Rhinelander by a tally of 5-1.

The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Marathon (Marathon, WI). The Red Raiders go into the Marawood - South bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Marathon tipped Rib Lake (Rib Lake, WI), 3-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hodags clash with the Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) in a Great Northern bout, on Monday, April 14. Rhinelander will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 3-1 league win over Medford (Medford, WI).
