In Saturday's non-league test, the Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the host Waukegan Bulldogs (Waukegan, IL), by a tally of 23-6.

Next, the Maroons meet the South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) in a Upstate Eight test, on Monday, April 14. Elgin will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Storm go into the test with a 7-3 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Central (Burlington, IL).

The Bulldogs (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL). The Patriots go into the North Suburban test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Stevenson prevailed over New Trier (Winnetka, IL), 10-9, in a non-league test.
