With the triumph, Gaylord improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Blue Devils host Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI) to play the Beavers in a non-league game on Saturday, April 19. The Beavers enter the game with a record of 2-0.

The Oilers now hold a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Midland for a Saginaw Valley game on Monday, April 14. Mt. Pleasant will play a Chemics squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Linden (Linden, MI). The Chemics record now stands at 2-1.
