The Wendell Trojans edged the visiting Grangeville Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 7-6 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Trojans play the Declo Hornets (Declo, ID) in a 3A South East Idaho challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. Wendell will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to Firth (Firth, ID).

The Bulldogs (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Orofino (Orofino, ID). The Maniacs enter the 3A Central Idaho challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Orofino edged St. Maries (St. Maries, ID), 8-6, in a league challenge.
