In Saturday's non-league match, the host Independence Blue Devils softball team scored a tight 13-10 victory over the Perry Panthers.
The Blue Devils (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Cuyahoga Heights (Cleveland, OH). The Red Wolves go into the Chagrin Valley - Metro match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Cuyahoga Heights was routed by Olmsted Falls (Olmsted Falls, OH), 15-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Louisville Leopards (Louisville, OH) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 14. Perry will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Leopards go into the match with a 4-7 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Manchester (Akron, OH).
