Ohio High School Softball - Mapleton gets by Northwestern

In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Mapleton Mounties softball team scored a tight 10-9 victory over the Northwestern Huskies.
The Mounties (2-4) will now prepare for their match against New London (New London, OH). The Wildcats go into the Firelands match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, New London was nipped by St. Paul (Norwalk, OH), 15-13, in a league match.
In their next game, the Huskies battle the Norwayne Bobcats (Creston, OH) in a Wayne County match, on Monday, April 14. Northwestern will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Bobcats go into the match with a 5-1 record after their 18-6 non-league loss to Lexington (Lexington, OH).
