Mercy Marlins (Farmington Hills, MI) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Saline Hornets (Saline, MI), 2-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Mercy improves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Marlins travel to St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake, MI) to face the Eaglets in a Catholic Central game on Tuesday, April 29. The Eaglets enter the game with a record of 1-2.

The Hornets now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Bedford for a Southeastern - Red game on Monday, April 14. Saline will face a Kicking Mules squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Woodhaven (Brownstown, MI). The Kicking Mules record now stands at 1-0.
