The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) and the visiting Mt. Carmel Cubs (New Orleans, LA), observed Opelousas Catholic's softball team get by Mt. Carmel by a tally of 3-1.
The Vikings (19-10) will now prepare for their bout against Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 6-13 record. In their last bout, Hanson Memorial tipped St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA), 16-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Cubs battle the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 12. Mt. Carmel will attempt to advance on its 14-12 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 21-10 record after their 8-2 non-league win over St. Joseph's Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).
