Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC), 10-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Croatan upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC) to battle the Hurricanes in a non-league test on Monday, April 18. The Hurricanes come into the test with a record of 0-16. Pamlico County lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC)

With the defeat, Spring Creek falls to 0-16 on the season. The Gators travel to Beddingfield (Wilson, NC) to battle the Bruins in a Neuse Six 2A test on Tuesday, April 26. The Bruins come into the test with a record of 0-9. Beddingfield lost 7-0 in their recent league test against Princeton (Princeton, NC)
