St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Salem Spartans (Salem, VA), 11-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, St. James upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Sharks host Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC) to battle the Panthers in a AAAAA Region 6 test on Monday, April 18. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 18-3. Carolina Forest won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC)

With the defeat, Salem falls to 6-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA) to battle the Cougars in a River Ridge test on Tuesday, April 19. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 5-2. Pulaski County won 15-12 in their recent non-league test against Radford (Radford, VA)
