The Apex Cougars lacrosse team scored 6 points and held the host Pinecrest Patriots to 5 in the Cougars non-league win on Wednesday.
The Cougars (8-4) will now prepare for their match against Middle Creek (Apex, NC). The Mustangs go into the Southwest Wake match with a 14-2 record. In their last match, Middle Creek nudged Panther Creek (Cary, NC), 18-2, in a league match.
The Patriots (9-3) will now prepare for their match against Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Vikings go into the United 8/All American/Sandhills match with a 0-12 record. In their last match, Union Pines was tipped by Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC), 10-9, in a league match.
