The Amesbury Indians routed the visiting Newburyport Clippers softball squad by a final score of 9-0 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Indians (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Rockport (Rockport, MA). The Vikings go into the Cape Ann Baker outing with a 3-0 record.
The Clippers (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA). The Generals enter the Cape Ann Kinney outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Hamilton-Wenham Regional was routed by Triton Regional (Byfield, MA), 13-0, in a league outing.
