Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) and the visiting Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC), witnessed Cheraw's softball squad tip Brevard by a count of 7-4.

The Braves now sport a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside for a non-league match on Thursday, April 14. Cheraw will meet a Beavers squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Beaver (Beaver, PA). The Beavers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Brevard moves to 9-7 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Pisgah (Canton, NC) to meet the Bears in a non-league match on Monday, April 18. The Bears go into the match with a record of 6-6. Pisgah won 8-1 in their recent league match against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)
