In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Vance Charter Knights (Henderson, NC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC), by a margin of 14-1.
With the triumph, Vance Charter moves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Knights travel to Voyager (Durham, NC) to play the Vikings in a Triangle North 1A contest on Tuesday, April 19. The Vikings come into the contest with a record of 4-3. Voyager won 8-4 in their recent league contest against Oxford Prep (Oxford, NC)
In their next game, the Eagles play the Falls Lake Firebirds (Creedmoor, NC) in a Super Six 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, April 19. East Wake Academy will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Firebirds come into the contest with a 6-5 record after their 15-0 league win over N.C. School of Science & Math (Durham, NC).
