In Wednesday's league contest, the Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA), by a margin of 12-0.
With the triumph, Gloucester moves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Fishermen travel to North Reading (North Reading, MA) to play the Hornets in a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 19. The Hornets come into the contest with a record of 4-0.
Next, the Sachems face the Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 15. Saugus will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Chieftains go into the match with a 1-0 record after their 6-3 non-league win over Danvers (Danvers, MA).
