New Mexico High School Softball - Volcano Vista can't hold off Sandia

The Sandia Matadors softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Volcano Vista Hawks to 12 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Sandia improves its record to 2-6 on the year. The Matadors host La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Bears in a non-league game on Saturday, April 15. The Bears come into the game with a record of 8-4. La Cueva lost 14-4 in their recent non-league game against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM)
In their next game, the Hawks clash with the Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 14. Volcano Vista will attempt to improve on its 11-5 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 7-2 record after their 18-0 non-league win over Highland (Albuquerque, NM).
