With the triumph, Mt. Vernon moves its record to 19-1 on the year. The Mountaineers host East Newton (Granby, MO) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league game on Friday, April 14. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 0-4. East Newton lost 15-5 in their recent non-league game against Forsyth (Forsyth, MO)
